Welcome to Bike Story Night!
Join us for an unforgettable evening where we come together to share the magic of storytelling, reconnect with old bike friends, and make new connections. We also like to shine a spotlight on different local bike non-profits at each event.
At Bike Story Night, our mission is to empower individuals to share their unique stories with the community, both in-person and online. These events serve as a platform for diverse voices, celebrating the intersection of storytelling and the joy of cycling.
Have any questions or want to share your bike story with us? Feel free to reach out via email at valerie@bikestorynight.com.

Program Generally Includes the following:
• 3-4 Featured Storytellers
• Featured Bike Non-Profit: TBA
• 2-3 Wild Card Storytellers (sign up AT the event)
• Community Plugs: What's Community Plugs?* It’s a special segment at Bike Story Night where anyone can take 30 seconds on the mic to share a project, event, or cause with the audience—building connections and spreading the word about local initiatives. It’s one of my favorite parts of the evening!
Whether you're a Featured Storyteller, a Wild Card or just want to come hear the stories - Bike Story Night is all about celebrating our bike life, adventures and the joy the bring.

More about Bike Story Night
It's an opportunity to come together and listen, learn and grow through our experiences, memories and more. Often we see cyclists passing by, and we wave and might wonder more about them? Do they know a shortcut I could also take? Why do they look so familiar? We might get to chat a bit while we ride, but there's nothing like standing in front of a cycling community who's ready to listen to you share your story.
Bike Story Night was created and founded by Valerie Ruiz @Varucreative at the beginning of 2021.
This space/event is a culmination of the time I've spent over the last 6 plus years in Austin being a founder, leader and organizer for beginner friendly group rides. I'm an event planner and lover of photography by trade, bringing people together has been a passion of mine since I was a child.
My goal is to create a space where the larger community can come together with intention to connect, share memories, learn and inspire adventures. At each event I hope people will reconnect with old friends, make new friends and simply share the joys and stories that come with riding your bike.
These events bring people together, amplify diverse voices, and celebrate the power of storytelling and cycling.
We hope you can join us soon, feel free to reach out anytime!
